Estimating Tree Projects

We use several methods for tree removal. First, we send our experienced estimator to visit the site to determine what equipment and method is required for the particular tree removal project. The estimator will calculate a price quotation for each particular project. The estimator considers the difficulty of the project, property layout and time required to complete the work to calculate a fixed price.

Tree Cutting Operations By Felling Trees

Some tree projects are considered easy projects. In easy projects, the tree cutter is able to remove the tree via cutting the tree at the bottom and allowing the tree to fall safely to the ground. Easy projects are normally faster, less dangerous and priced cheaper than other more difficult projects.

Tree Cutting Operations By Climbing, Cranes or Bucket Trucks

The next difficulty level of projects are those where the tree can not be cut from the bottom. The tree has to be cut into sections to prevent hitting property on the ground or other trees. The process starts by cutting and lowering the limbs to the ground. Once most of the limbs are cut off the tree, sections of the tree can be cut and lowered to the ground. This tree removal approach can be done via either a tree climber, a bucket truck, a crane, or a combination of these methods.

Tree Work via Climber

A tree climber may be used in situations where the tree is too far away to be reached by a crane or by bucket truck. A climber may be used to remove trees from a back yard where the trees are located behind a fence or other trees.

Tree Work Via Cranes

A crane is often used when trees are close to the street, or when trees can be reached via placing the crane in the driveway, or driving the crane into the yard. Sometimes, the crane may be too heavy for a driveway; therefore, the crane may be placed on the yard, if possible. Cranes are very useful when trees are close to the house, between two houses, near air conditions, or to prevent damage to property under the tree.

Bucket trucks are often used in situations where a truck can be driven and setup. The bucket truck is good for removing small sections of trees and lowering them to the ground. Sometimes the bucket truck is used in conjunction with a crane when necessary. Bucket trucks vary in height from 55 feet to approximately 85 feet. Sometimes, a climber or crane is required to top and remove trees that have grown taller than the range of the bucket truck.

Grading
A+ Tree and Crane Service, Inc. is a one stop shop. We perform grading of the terrain to develop the proper slopes and elevations as necessary for us to implement landscaping and concrete driveways, sidewalks and other flat work.

Landscaping
For new development, after we have properly graded the terrain to the proper elevations, we install landscapes according to a set of plans or to the loose design request established by the customer and A+ Tree and Crane Service, Inc.

Demolition
Sometimes, customers requests remodeling to be performed on their property. Here at A+ Tree and Crane Service, Inc., we are qualified to perform the necessary demolition prior to reconstruction. We have small dump trucks, for small projects, and 18-wheeler dumping trailers for larger projects. We perform anything from demolishing the interior of a structure to the demolition of the entire building, concrete, asphalt, sidewalks, trees, etc.

Hauling
We have our own trucks to haul any building debris, logs, stumps, dirt, gravel, sand, concrete, and metal. We can haul soil material to the job site, or debris from the job site to the designated landfills.

Concrete
After we grade the soil, we implement the forms prior to the concrete being delivered to the job site. Once the forms are in place, we have concrete delivered to the job site and we pour and shape the concrete to the established forms.

Stump Grinding
Stump grinding is normally the cheapest process of removing the exposed portion of a stump by pulverizing the top of the stump into wood chips that are left in the stump hole. Sometimes, the entire stump needs to be removed to build a structure.

Stump Removal for Site Clearing
Sometimes, the entire stump needs to be removed to build a structure, a process call site clearing. Removing the entire stump is more expensive because a large machine such as a backhoe, or track hoe is needed to excavate the stump, load it onto a dump truck to be hauled to the landfill, where dumping fees are paid. A+ Tree and Crane Service, Inc., cleared the tree and stumps for NCSU, UNC, NCCU, City of Raleigh, and residential homes.

Before and After Tree Removal
A+ Tree and Crane Service, Inc., in most cases are able to save your existing landscape while removing large tree and grinding the stumps.

Site Clean Up
After all operations for work are complete, our crew clean up the site via raking, leveling, and blowing to remove small debris.
